This was a Design and Build contract, so we were required to develop the design and construct a four storey block of six luxury apartments with balconies, one penthouse suite with a roof terrace and two commercial shell units at ground floor level on a site previously used as a car park.




This site had all the challenges associated with inner city development, with the new building covering the footprint of the complete site.

The build consisted of part concrete frame and part load bearing masonry construction to comply with the requirements of progressive collapse.

The contemporary facades were formed in masonry, complemented by elevated ends to the main roof in steel and timber.

The interiors to the apartments are again very contemporary, with high quality fixtures and fittings, bespoke joinery and natural wood floors.

Despite the challenges of a restricted site and the high specification of finishes, and the site formerly being an untidy car park. It is now a shining example of ‘brown field’ inner city development.
