OUR ROLE
To construct 8 no new residential high quality finish apartments on a site overlooking the river Thames
THE PROJECT
The proposed scheme is for 6-storey apartment block with 8 residential apartments (2x3 bed units and 6x2bed units).
The ground floor is opened up for good accessibility and river views. There are 5 car parking spaces and adequate bicycle storage and refuse point.
The design is considered and innovative. It optimises the development potential of the site and sits comfortably within its historical and present context.
The key design idea is a contemporary take on the form of the past wharf building typologies that would have once dominated the riverside.
The materials consist of timber from sustainable sources, London Stock Brick, glass, steel and concrete. The landscaped areas consist of gardens, decking, viewpoints and compact gravel. These materials are in keeping with the surroundings.
