OUR ROLE
The project involved the fitting out of a large open plan floor space, situated in a multi-storey occupied office block, for use as an area office of London and Quadrant Housing Trust.
We were main contractors under a JCT Intermediate form of contract. The contract was secured by a partnering arrangement.
THE PROJECT
The works included the erection of aluminium framed pre-formed demountable partitions, installation of a kitchen complete with white goods, fire and intruder alarm detector, new reception desk and, full decoration and floor coverings throughout.
The programme was fast track (7 weeks) and was further complicated by the fact that we had to work in conjunction with electrical and data subcontractors, employed directly by the client and with very restricted access.
THE RESULT
Despite all the complications this fast track (7 weeks) programme was successfully completed within time.
