OUR ROLE
Phase 1: The alteration & improvement of new reception areas, incorporating additional toilet blocks, staff accommodation and further teaching facilities.
Phase 2: Infilling a large courtyard area to construct new classrooms, with futher alterations and improvements.
Phase 3: Infilling a second courtyard area to construct new classrooms, the extension of existing buildings with further alterations and improvements.
THE PROJECT
In order to substantially increase the size and capacity of the school, new classrooms and general facilities were created by infilling existing courtyard areas and extending existing buildings.
Major alterations and repairs were also carried out throughout the school to significantly improve the staff accommodation, welfare facilities and teaching accommodation. This also incorporated existing mechanical and electrical installations – including new fire and security systems.
The scheme also involved enhancing special needs facilities, such as the installation of a new lift.
Much of the work was carried out whilst the school was operational.
THE RESULT
Having successfully completed the project on time and on budget, one of the highlights of this particular project was the installation of numerous large atrium type roof lights. This spectacularly improved the feel and atmosphere within the school.
