OUR ROLE
To carry out an internal refurbishment, involving general improvement, repair and a full fit-out.
THE PROJECT
Under the supervision of Islington Architects Dept, this was a fast track refurbishment and fit-out project carried out for Islington Council. The substantial works covered the entire library - including the IT suite.
As with all fast track programmes, the secret to success was through flexible project planning. That’s why in order to accommodate the large number of trades and specialist equipment involved, the scheduling and programming were kept as flexible as possible. This also allowed for us to take in any unforeseen work as it arose.
THE RESULT
The distinctive features of this project are the glass partitioning, hardwood joinery and curved ceilings. Together with the specialist fittings and high specification finishes, the library has been transformed into very comfortable and modern public space.
